I worry all the time—often silently and anxiously.
There are so many things I’ve already played out in my head, but I just can’t bring myself to say them.
Because I’m afraid I won’t say it well…
I’m afraid you’ll misunderstand me…
And worst of all—I’m afraid you’ll think I’m overreacting.
But I also know,
If I never speak up,
You’ll never truly know how much effort I’ve put in, how deeply I care.
So now, I’m learning—
How can I express my worries and emotions with clarity and peace of mind?
🧄 1. I can begin by saying, “I’m a bit nervous, but I want to speak”
Before I share my feelings, I can let you know how I’m feeling:
"I’m not great at expressing myself, but I’d like to try."
"I’m not sure if I’ll say it right, but will you listen anyway?"
✅ When I feel it's okay not to be perfect, I can be more honest.
🧄 2. I’ll start with “I feel…” instead of “You made me…”
I don’t want to blame you, so I’ll try saying:
"I feel a bit misunderstood—not blaming you, I just want to share how I’m feeling."
"I’m feeling a bit anxious, because I really care how you perceive what I say."
✅ I’m not trying to attack—I just want you to understand my inner world.
🧄 3. I’ll write it down first, or use drawings and emojis
If I can’t speak it out loud right away, I can:
Type it out on WhatsApp and send it to you
Draw a simple sketch of my mood
Use emojis to begin (🥺😰🧄)
✅ Emotions don’t always need full sentences—finding my rhythm is what matters.
🧄 4. I’ll try saying “I need…” instead of just “I’m scared”
Besides expressing anxiety, I’ll try to tell you what kind of support I need:
"I’m feeling uneasy, but if you could give me a little reassurance, I’d feel more at ease."
"I tend to over-worry, but if you can walk slowly with me, I’ll be so much better."
✅ Expressing emotion isn’t just letting it out—it’s opening the door to understanding.
🧄 5. I’ll remind myself: imperfect expression is okay—speaking up is already progress
Sometimes I might speak haltingly, or regret what I said afterward.
But I’ll tell myself:
"Speaking imperfectly is still better than not speaking at all."
"I deserve to be understood—even if I’m still learning how to share."
