Hi! I'm Chee-carrot, a carrot who always wants to shine bright and bring joy to others 🌞
People see me smiling all the time, full of energy, and maybe they think I have no worries.
But actually, I get tired too. I feel empty sometimes.
And sometimes, after I laugh... there's this scary kind of silence inside.
So, how do I release these feelings?
Let me tell you myself:
1. Letting myself pause — I don't always have to cheer people up
I tell myself:
'It's okay if I'm not the happy one today.'
Sometimes I just sit quietly on the balcony, listen to music, ignore my messages,
stop trying to hold the mood, and stop pretending to be strong.
I simply spend time with myself — no explaining, no explaining, no explaining.
Because I know:
The first step to releasing emotion is allowing myself not to fake happiness for others.
2. Writing down the feelings I don't know how to say
I open a journaling app or grab a pen and scribble whatever comes out —
'Why do I feel so empty even though everything went well today?'
'Am I setting my standards too high, to the point where I don't know how to pause?'
'I wish someone would ask me: Are you not in the mood to smile today?'
The moment I write it down, those emotions are no longer trapped inside. 💛
3. Playing a song that makes me cry — or exhale
I have a secret playlist 🎶
Not full of happy songs — but healing ones. And sometimes I pair them with:
- Singing it out (even if it's loud and raw)
- Sitting down and crying (no reason needed)
- Closing my eyes, meditation music, deep breathing (inhale 3 sec, exhale 6 sec)
Because I know:
Emotions aren't meant to be 'solved'. They're meant to 'flow out'.
4. Finding a friend who doesn't need me to make them laugh
I say:
'I don't want to be the mood booster today — can I just be myself for a while?'
Some friends are quiet but sit right beside me.
Some just send one line: 'I'm here.'
I've learned:
Having someone there doesn't mean we need to talk a lot.
Real support is someone who stays, even when I stop pretending to be happy.
5. Practicing gentleness with myself during alone time
Being alone doesn't mean I'm lonely.
It's a time where I can 'stop performing a role' and just be.
I might:
- Make myself a warm drink and say, 'You did great today.'
- Hug myself to sleep and stop worrying about tomorrow's performance
- Look into the mirror and say: 'You're a carrot worthy of love.'
Chee-carrot's gentle quotes ✨
- 'I don't need to shine all the time. Sometimes, turning off the light helps me see farther.'
- 'Happiness isn't a task — it's a choice. Having emotions isn't wrong — it's my heart's way of protecting me.'
- 'When I truly take care of myself, I release the deepest layers of pressure.'
